Who we are

AfgPath was built by Iranian and Afghan students who study in Europe. We have been through the same steps you are about to take — choosing a university, translating and legalising documents, waiting for embassy appointments and starting life in a new country — so we know where students usually get stuck and what information they wish they had earlier.

What AfgPath is

AfgPath is a study guidance service for Iranian and Afghan students who want to study in Europe. We apply directly to the universities for our students and stay with you from your first question until you arrive in your destination country. We specialise in five countries: the Romanian preparatory year in Romania, English language preparatory courses in Hungary, pathway programmes in Finland, nursing training (Ausbildung) in Germany, and university study in Turkey.

The most comprehensive, up-to-date information, from official sources

Our goal is to give you everything you need to decide about studying in these five countries, in one place and up to date; free, in Persian and English.

• Application dates: when applications open and close for every programme we apply for, with live countdowns.

How we stay up to date: we take figures and dates from official sources such as ministries, immigration offices, the European Commission and the universities themselves. Every article shows its sources and last-updated date, and we update the deadlines page as soon as new official dates are announced.

Why we started

Many students from Iran and Afghanistan pay agents who promise guaranteed admission or visas and then disappear. We wanted a service that gives clear information first, puts the price in writing and says openly when a route is not realistic.

How to check any agent — including us

We would rather you trust us because you checked, not because we asked. These rules protect you whoever you work with:

• Check fees on the university's own website. Tuition is published by each university, so you can compare any quote with the official figure.
• Pay university tuition to the university's official bank account, never to a person's private account.
• Ask for the price, the services included and the refund terms in writing before paying anyone.
• Be careful with anyone who promises a guaranteed visa or admission. Only embassies and universities can decide.
• Never agree to fake or altered documents. They can lead to a permanent visa ban.
